OVERVIEW:
Milwaukee Sports and Social is looking for a talented event planner to join their team on a part-time basis! If you are hyper-organized, deadline oriented, a lover of logistics, and have a flexible schedule that allows for you to work in a fast-paced industry while also setting your own hours, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you will work closely with Milwaukee Sports and Social’s Management and Marketing staff to launch, execute, and wrap-up a wide-array of fun social events!
The selected candidate will work from home 75% of the time while working on site with the Milwaukee Sports and Social Team 25% of the time. This is a part-time role where the hours will vary on a weekly basis with peaks and valleys throughout the year.
This individual MUST reside in Milwaukee or a suburb of Milwaukee.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Milwaukee Sports and Social’s team to execute events on site.
- Participate in weekly meetings (sometimes multiple each week) to plan, brainstorm, and develop exciting new social events for the city of Milwaukee.
- Support Milwaukee Sports and Social's Marketing Team in the creation of event collateral.
- Work alongside Milwaukee Sports and Social’s digital team to prepare and execute any necessary event-related communications to registrants.
- Help with event set-up and tear-down, including arranging tables, chairs, and decorations.
- Manage guest registration and check-in process.
- Complete post-event summaries, surveys, and reports.
- Provide excellent customer service to event attendees
- Other tasks, as needed.
- Additional opportunities available for an individual who is interested in assisting in league-related logistics/operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior event planning experience is a must.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to negotiate and work well with vendors, suppliers, and other event stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.
- Must reside in Milwaukee or a suburb of Milwaukee.
- Individual with a proven track record of managing complex logistics in a prior role.
- Someone who loves the grind, flourishes in a start-up atmosphere, and can work during odd times/evening hours.
- Upselling skills to maximize revenue opportunities during events is a bonus.
SKILLS WE WOULD LOVE YOU TO HAVE:
- You can run a Google Sheet like a boss.
HOURS/LOCATION/COMPENSATION:
The hours this role is asked to fulfill will increase over time. However, at first, we anticipate this individual working 8-12 hours on most weeks and 15-25 hours the week of an event.
Compensation:
$12-20 per hour based on experience level.

75% Work From Home
25% Work On Site
All events will occur in Milwaukee or a nearby suburb!
This is a Part Time, Contract Job Opportunity – Less than 20 hours per week on average.
